**UPDATE DECEMBER 2023**
NO FISHING AT PORT TALBOT DOCK Sadly fishing is no longer allowed at the venue, this is due to site owners, ABP, who plan to re-develop the whole site. It is hoped that a new fishing area can be provided in future on the site. Port Talbot Dock is an unusual fishery. A disused dock, It is now freshwater and fed by a stream. It contains a diverse mixture of coarse fish species and even trout. The dock also has some sea fish species, which enter the venue through the gates. Besides being a well-known pike fishery, a wide variety of fish are caught, including mullet, bass, skimmers, roach, perch, rudd, bream, eels and tench. The bream fishing in particular is first class. Due to safety restrictions fishing is only allowed in some areas.
